Client: Cullross Developments
Architect:
Cost: £16.0m
New 150 unit residential development and office space on the site of the former Archibald McMillan shipyard in Dumbarton. The site eventually became a whisky distillery which closed in 2006.
Due to the nature of the site, extensive ground remediation works were undertaken to remove the contamination on site to prepare the site for the new development. Also required for the main residential development were piled foundations on ground beams.
The development also included the creation of a new riverside walkway which would connect the development to the town centre.
Major works were carried out to the pier itself including the building of new revetments and improvements to the quay wall.
