Client: National Library of Scotland
Architect: LDN
Cost: £0.5m
The brief within the National Library of Scotland was to create a pleasing and welcoming reception centre within what was originally an austere foreboding entrance area within the National Library building on George IV Bridge.
The works completed last year have involved the opening up of arches, structural floor strengthening, large services installations, and new disabled lifts, all constructed within a functioning and operational building.
