Meet the team

I graduated from Dundee University with an MSc in Civil Engineering in 2006.

Since graduation I have worked as a Civil/Structural Engineer joining Will Rudd Davidson in 2009, working my way up from Project Engineer to Senior Engineer to my current role as a Director.

I supervise and manage our production team, alongside Stephen, producing my own design briefs. I lead the Glasgow team and run projects within all types of Engineering sectors, including, residential developments, sports and leisure centres, schools, healthcare facilities, industrial portal frame buildings and multi storey structures including major hotel developments and student accommodation along with all associated civil works including roads and pavement design.

As a Chartered Structural Engineer, I have a very strong all round experience profile and I’m vastly experienced with all principal construction materials and techniques within various style projects ranging in size from £100,000 to £30m. I have particularly strong experience with existing building refurbishment and conservation engineering in listed buildings.

I have recently acted as the Lead Engineer for our £30m redevelopment project in Advocate’s Close, Warriston Close and Roxburgh Close in Edinburgh which involved the full redevelopment of a UNESCO world heritage site in Edinburgh’s Old Town, including Grade A and B listed Buildings, of which one townhouse is of 16th century vintage and known to be Edinburgh’s oldest townhouse.

In 2013, we won the Saltire Civil Engineering Award for Structural Design and Conservation for this project. It was a great achievement for our team and was just reward for the hard work and dedication put in by everyone throughout the project.
